Fall Festivities

I belong to a mom's club here in Ogden and that may seem silly, but it actually has been really good for Kent and I. The club has activities scheduled a few times a week at places around the valley. You can pick and choose what you want to attend. Kent has grown to enjoy being with other kids (which if you knew him before you know he was kind of a social recluse) and it helps me have some adult interaction with woman that are in the same time of life as me. I should really convince some of my friends at church to join too, that would make it perfect. This month we have had lots of fall activities to attend. We went to Dabb's fruit farm to meet Pumpkin Man and pick out a pumpkin. We went to Black Island Farms for a hayride, pumpkin patch picking, tractor train ride, and hay slides. And lastly, we went to Cold Trout Farms to feed the fish, go through a corn maze, and pick out a pumpkin. We really have had a fun October and can't wait to carve the FOUR pumpkins we've collected.

At Dabb's Fruit Farm waiting to get started

Kent's favorite part of Dabb's was the several barn kittens they had. He coulds have chased and petted them all day. Too bad we will never own a cat.

As you can see Kent was really tentative around Pumpkin Man.

Ammon took a few hours off of work to join us at Black Island Farms. I wasn't sure if I was ready to tackle an outing with the two kids. We always enjoy when he is with us.

Kent loved the slides.

And the teeter-totter.

This tractor train ride was so cute.

Kent showing us his carrot our hay ride driver picked out in the fields.

Kent having his pumpkin cut right off the vine.

Kent was really fascinated with the old farm equipment.

Feeding the trout. They would go crazy when you threw the food in, but it was hard to get a good picture of it.
