Cinder-fella

We have had Kent's sippy cups for quite a while and the valves are getting weak, meaning that they tend to leak a little more, okay a lot more. Kent has figured out if he shakes it really hard it will shower the floor, his high chair, the couch, or him with milk or juice. The other day he covered part of the kitchen floor in drops of apple juice. I proceeded to hand him a a paper towel to clean up his mess, I couldn't help but think he looked like a male version of Cinderella on his hands and knees cleaning the floor. Which of course I could get used to in the future when he does a good enough job that I don't have to go over it again.

It wasn't quite the punishment I was hoping for because he was enjoying himself the entire time, we will have to work on that. The moral of the story is to just buy new sippy cups even though they cost a small fortune.

Happy Birthday Bumpa!

I don't do a public birthday "card" for everyone, but I ran across this classic picture of my dad and couldn't resist posting it here. We love you Bumpa!

Mischief

Kent seems to be making a little more of his own fun these days, although Mom and Dad think it could be better classified as MISCHIEF!

Here you see the letter "I", Kent's pajamas, one of his hangers, and a box (which he got out of the garbage) all ready to be washed. He seems to be able to reach more and more things these days, even without his handy stool.

I put Kent down for a nap one day and I could hear him playing. This is not unusual and he eventually gets tired and climbs back into bed to fall asleep. This day his "playing" consisted of putting a few books and various train table toys under the door.

No Order

Besides the fact that our home right now has "no order", the title really was meant for this post. I have a bunch of random pictures that I should post so when Kent looks back he doesn't feel like he was forgotten for the last few months. I know they are not great pictures, but proof nonetheless Kent is alive and well. Things are still about the same around here; Ammon is working and just finished training, I am still sick and have been back for fluids twice since my last post, and Kent has a fascination with any kind of duck, be it Donald, the duck on WordWorld, or ducks in a pond behind our apartment.

Here is Kent plugged into some show, this is what we do when we want to watch Castle and he wants to watch his own show.

We stopped by Fat Cats in downtown Ogden quite a while ago and put a quarter into a little merry-go-round for Kent, what a waste, he HATED it.

New skill: climbing in the toy box

Imitating Mom

and then discovering a cool new hat.

I was so excited last week when I found ducks in the little wet land behind our apartment, but I think Kent was more excited. We fed them "toast". I heard this dries up in the summer, but it will be a nice addition this Spring.

Fun really starts happening when Dad is home from work, this is a tower the two of them built this weekend. Kent is getting really good at stacking Duplos.
