A year in pictures...

Brace yourself I will give you a brief rundown of the last year in pictures. And as long as I have the energy I will make sure there is a caption so you can get an idea of what's been going on. So a year ago tomorrow we were married. I hate all the pictures but the professional ones, so we will leave it at that. We spent the Winter/Spring semester in Morgan, Utah where I taught sixth grade and Ammon did online classes. We had so much snow that we were able to dig us a cave in the snow at the side of our driveway.

In the Spring we were able to take our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the approx. area where Ammon served his mission. We spent the first part of the week touring the cities/towns where he served. We had fun visiting one of Ammon's families and donating school supplies to a local school. On our second to last day there we got the chance to spend some time in the sun at the beach. Needless to say that was the last day we spent at the beach because we got fried, so much for that expired sunscreen. The next day was spent in pain in bed. I guess the sun isn't quite the same so close to the equator.

As soon as school got out we moved back to Pullman so Ammon could finish school. Ammon worked from home on his computer helping a company from his hometown update their website. I enjoyed the summer off, realizing that maybe a teacher's schedule is not so bad. In July we were able to travel with LeAnn's family to Utah for the Udy Family Reunion. After that LeAnn continued to California with her parents for her dad's work conference while Ammon attended some meeting regarding his scholarship he recieved. LeAnn enjoyed her days with her mom at Disneyland and California Adeventure. After, we met up back in Las Vegas and went with LeAnn's uncles family and grandparents to a cabin in Southern Utah to enjoy a weekend of four-wheeling.

We also got to spend some time with Ammon's family this summer. We spent the 4th of July at Ammon's grandpa's house in St. Maries, ID. We also spent some lazy summer days out at his parents farm, including a photo shoot on their hay bales.

Unfortunately more recently our cameras have taken a break and we have failed to document our lives. Ammon has just finished yet another semester. Which is good news, but perhaps the most exciting news is the fact that we are expecting our first child in June. The first few months of pregnancy were not fun and we were pretty sure we were only going to be parents of one child, however the morning sickness is starting to end and we have not visited the doctor for IV fluids for quite a few weeks. Here is the picture of our first ultrasound, the one they took to make sure we were not the parents of multiples. Hope you have enjoyed the update, hopefully the next posts will not be so long, but we have enjoyed catching up. Have a great holiday season.

New Blog

So my friend Nicole has convinced me to start a blog. I was going to save this endeavor for when we had kids, but I guess it is never to early to start since we do have a bun in the oven. Hopefully having a blog will help keep us connected with our close friends and family. So ready or not, here we are.
