On December 22 Ammon and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We had already agreed with each other that instead of buying gifts we would go out shopping because we each needed a new pair of jeans. I had outgrown my normal jeans and needed a pair of maternity jeans, this time came earlier than I thought, and the only place to buy maternity clothes around here is at Shopko. So Ammon and I hopped in the car and went to purchase my first item of pregnancy clothing...a pair of jeans. So they are not the best thing, but they will last me for a while, or at least until I can find another pair I like better on a trip to Spokane. As for Ammon we found him a very stylish pair of jeans and a brand new pair of casual brown shoes. I threw in some black socks too because I am afraid I have lost a few doing laundry. We wanted very badly to go to Sangria, a resturant in Moscow, but when we got there realized that it was closed. We decided we would go catch a movie in Pullman, Seven Pounds, and grab something to eat later. After the movie we met up with my friend Alison who was home visiting from California, then headed out for dinner at Red Lobster in Lewiston. Ammon decided to be adventurous and get lobster and crab legs. Needless to say dinner was entertaining, for Ammon and I both had our first experience cracking crab legs and pulling the meat out. I think Ammon decided that it is easier to buy immitation crab meat at the store. It was a great anniversary and we are still madly in love. I made one of the best decisions of my life a year ago when I decided to marry Ammon in the temple for time and all eternity. He is a great husband who serves me everyday, especially now with the pregnancy mood/health swings.
This is our car thanks to our siblings and friends.
Take note of the most beautiful cake, thanks to my second mom Kathy!
As for Christmas it was kind of a rough but growing time for the Mills side of the family. Two Sundays before Christmas we got a call that Ammon's parents house, about an hour north of us, had been destroyed by a fire while they were at church. Luckily no one was hurt, but everything, material wise, was lost. Ammon's parents are amazing and so strong, not once do I think they complained but looked at this trial as a growing experience. People from far and wide were so generous and a great help to his parents and his younger brothers. We improvised with Christmas and gathered one evening at a member couple's house in Rosalia. We had our traditional Christmas morning breakfast, for dinner, and hopefully gave Ammon's parents the Christmas they deserved. Here is a cute picture of his niece jumping out of a bag as a present.
For Christmas Eve we got together with our two neighbor families, my aunt and uncle's family, and my family. We had a wonderful dinner and watched the kids put on the most hilaroius nativity I have ever seen. One of the funniest things said was, "Call the ambulance, we have a drunk wise man." The youngest boy next door, Jairden, has developed quite the personality as you will see in the following picture. He was supposed to be the shepard.

Christmas morning we spent with my parents. They always treat us so well and we are very grateful for all our gifts. We hope you all had a great Christmas and are enjoying the New Year.
